What AMG are you comparing? The Cadillac numbers you provided are correct, but the AMG GLS63 in kg is 2710.

Both drivers were counted down by the same person over their in-vehicle walkie talkies.

Exactly! I have a 2023 C8 z51 and I could have done much better. The driver wasn't even using the launch control on the C8. We don't even know if he had it in sport or track mode. The Mercedes was 800 lbs heavier, that's a huge weight difference. There is no way the C8 loses, at least not by that much.

Why do most Corvette owners keep comparing their car with SL63? Sl buyers are not cross shopping with Corvette especially C8.

The GLS63 does not have race start. The AMG SL63 did, but the C8 gets the power through 2 wheels slightly quicker than the AMG SL63 did to 4. The midengine layout of the C8 is a great advantage when launching.

Quite the contrary. It shows how far the Cadillac and Corvette brands have come. The Escalade-V base MSRP is nearly $20,000 more than the AMG GLS63! AMGs deliver amazing value in today's market. 😎

I agree with the channel on this one. GM still has a stigma for some people who remember their past, but their future is looking good. They have come a very long way in a short time. The Cadillacs and Corvettes are amazing vehicles. There's a reason the Escalade and Corvette dominate their segments when it comes to sales. The reviews on both are glowing as well. Both have average transaction prices over $100,000 and sell tens of thousands per year

Definitely, the other way around GM quality has improved beyond what it use to be.

The C8 Corvette has excellent launch capabilities. In other independent tests, you will see that it's slightly quicker than the AMG SL63 to 100kmh but slower in the quarter mile. We noticed the same thing when we tested it against the lighter Jaguar F-Type 575. Once the AMG SL63 gets into second gear, it rockets away.

The Escalade-V in this comparison was an SWB and not an ESV. We will have a Z06 on our channel that will challenge an AMG SL63 or AMG GT63 Coupe, stay tuned!

The GLS was more comparable to the Escalade than the G wagon however, we do like your recommendation... stay tuned! 😁

Yes, the previous SL63s torque levels and lower weight make it a rocket at the top end once it stops fighting for traction! It was for sale at Kulu Motorcar!
